Hate is Such a Strong Word and Yet…

I hate losing an hour to daylight savings time.  Admittedly I love the hour that gets added in the fall. But now under these new rules I lose the time sooner and have to wait much longer for that heavenly extra hour.

I don’t know why my blood boils over this.  I am the kind of person who can kill an hour without even trying.  I guess with those minutes it is my choice rather than some governmental bureaucracy stealing my hour out from under me.

I will survive this but I am not happy.

    Rick,
    First – look! it’s a comment!!

Second – I hate to tell you but you really haven’t lost an hour – it just got moved around on you. I say continue to enjoy the slightly darker mornings, sleep later and then stay up later. I believe you’ll then find that hour you’re missing!.

Paul, all I know is that today only has 23 hours. The sleeping later part sounds good though.

It was a tired household for me today…I was up and going, but the boys were tired. We were just getting used to a little daylight at 6am…that is gone for a while.

Finally made it through everything (OK, almost everything) that you have hear. Amazing how you’ve written about the stuff that you (and sometimes, I) think, but would never admit saying to anyone. Not because it’s bad, just because it’s trite. But it is interesting to read. Keep it up.

Thanks “Coop”. Keep the comments coming. Had Oly read the bat mitzvah piece?

  6. Coop says:

On your oly question, not when I pointed it out, but yes after that. I don’t recall his comments but he appreciated it.

Wow, I hope no one at work sees this. Looking at your “underling” e-mail, we’re in a similar rut. I think I have you topped (or bottomed) though.
